Snip Snip

Lately I've been struggling with what to do with my hair. I'm trying to grow it out for the wedding but having my hair at this "awkward" length is driving me crazy!! Not to mention it currently looks blah! The funny thing about this process is that Jimmy has always told me he would love to see my hair long again, like I had it in high school. During this growing out process Jimmy actually asked me to cut it short again because he has decided he actually does miss it short... haha!!

Me with Jimmy with my usual short haircut.

Back in high school when my hair was long.

Today I tried to compromise... my hair is currently to my collarbone and all one length. To try and make it less blah! and bring back more of the style Jimmy likes and misses. I got some bangs and layers again... keeping the length. We will see if this helps! We might still not be able to handle it/like it...which means I might be chopping my hair off again in the near future!!

More Bling!

On July 31, 2010 I received a phone call from Kelly telling me she was engaged!! I was at dinner with my family when I received the phone call so they all got to chime in on the celebration!! Before she called me she told me that she tried to stop by my apartment but I wasn't there!! Since I didn't get to see Kelly & her ring the evening the engagement happened, I surprised her and stopped by her work the following day. Her ring is beautiful & very much Kelly... her fiance did a perfect job!

It took a couple of days for us to get together but last week Jimmy, myself, Kelly, and her new fiance Andrew got together at the Homemade Pie & Ice Cream Kitchen to celebrate! As I've mentioned in previous posts Kelly is moving to Atlanta, GA at the end of this week. Because of this move she has really jumped onto the wedding planning... I was surprised how much she has accomplished so quickly!! As always we had a great time getting together with the two of them.

Wedding Updates

Last week Jimmy and I got to accomplish some more wedding details. On August 3, 2010 we met both with our DJ and our wedding coordinator at the church.

Our DJ is Sound Entertainment, I've been working for them since I was 15 years old! Going into the meeting with them I though it would be more of playtime, catch up time for them and my family, and time for them to meet Jimmy. I was VERY wrong!! Ed was down to business... I've worked weddings before, piece of cake right? Wrong!! I didn't realize all the decisions we have to make when it comes to our reception and the music!! Jimmy and I quickly agreed on the things we liked and things we didn't. Our focus now is on the order and music.

The meeting with the wedding coordinator was simple and sweet. I already knew the order of our wedding party and from where I wanted them to enter. Our biggest decisions will be what we want our ceremony to have and not have. To make these decisions we need to meet with our pastor; which just happens to be Jimmy's father!! Making an appointment for that shouldn't be to hard :)

Our wedding coordinator walked us through different ways we could decorate the church for the ceremony. When it comes to the decorations I'm still lost!! Unfortunately Jimmy and I still haven't picked a florist. I'm hoping that our florist will be able to give us some ideas for decorations and actually visually show me ideas. I'm a very visual/hands on person... which is why I think I got so lost during our church meeting with the wedding coordinator... I had such a hard time visualizing what she was trying to "show" us about the decorations. Jimmy and I are hoping to meet with florists soon and have a decision made by the end of the month.
